Surely all these important things showed up by 6:15. You can't make me believe democracy is flawed. I just won't do it.

i successfully voted today, but not after i arrived and the volunteer reading the book that has addresses and districts tried to tell me that i was supposed to vote a different school and in a different district. i insisted he was wrong (which i knew from voting previously and checking online) and as it turned out, i was right...my name was in the district book i thought.

not sure if he just didn't know how to read the big book or if there was a typo.

In their defense, the volunteers seemed rather overwhelmed. The turnout has been extremely high and I don't think anyone thought they were signing up for crowd control- I found that some patience with them helped, especially when one of them told me to "get on the line to the left" while she pointed to the right....

I voted absentee in September in Georgia, but a coworker of mine who registered right before the deadline was forced to vote provisionally, even though the online Secty of State system showed her as a registered voter.
